A lifetime of love, three dachshunds, and the story behind DACHSHUND CLUB.

Why do I love dachshunds so much?

Their little legs. Their long bodies. Their expressive eyes and funny personalities.

Of course, I love all of those things.

But my love for dachshunds goes much deeper than their adorable appearance.

It all began when I was six years old, with a little black-and-tan dachshund named Max.

Max — My Very First Dachshund

Max came into my life on my sixth birthday.

He was a black-and-tan boy, and from the moment we met, he became so much more than a pet.

He was family.

In many ways, Max was like the big brother I grew up with.

We spent almost every day together.

During school vacations, we would run around and play for hours. Those were some of the happiest moments of my childhood.

And every night, we slept side by side.

Having Max beside me was simply part of everyday life.

I couldn’t imagine life without him.

The Little Dog Who Was Always There for Me

Growing up wasn’t always easy.

There were days when I struggled with friendships and relationships. Days when I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, or deeply sad.

Sometimes, I cried.

And somehow, Max always seemed to be right there beside me.

He didn’t need words.

He didn’t need to understand every problem.

Just having him close made me feel less alone.

His quiet presence brought me comfort during some of my hardest moments.

Looking back, I realize how many times that little dachshund helped me find my way through difficult days.

Max gave me a kind of love I will never forget.

My First Artwork Was Inspired by Max

There is another special memory I want to share.

When I was a child, I made a little sculpture of Max using modeling clay.

I simply wanted to recreate the dog I loved so much.

That sculpture was recognized and put on display.

In fact, it remains the only piece of artwork I have ever had recognized and exhibited.

At the time, I never imagined that memory would become meaningful to me again years later.

I wasn’t thinking about becoming an artist or starting a brand.

I just loved Max.

And I wanted to create something inspired by him.

Today, when I look at the dachshund designs I create, I can’t help wondering whether that little clay sculpture was where my creative journey truly began.

He Stayed Beside Me Until I Grew Up

Max was there throughout my childhood.

He watched me grow, change, and eventually begin my working life.

He stayed by my side until I had become an adult and found my footing in the world.

And then, one day, it was time for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Saying goodbye to Max meant saying goodbye to a companion who had been part of almost my entire life.

He taught me so much.

The joy of sharing everyday moments.

The sadness of saying goodbye.

The meaning of love, trust, and responsibility.

And what it truly means to care for another living being.

Max wasn’t just my first dachshund. He was one of my greatest teachers.

Then Came So and Ruu

After Max, two more dachshunds became part of my life.

Their names are So and Ruu.

They are adorable, full of energy, a little mischievous, and wonderfully different from each other.

Life with them is never boring!

Even though all three are dachshunds, each has a completely different personality.

That’s one of the things I love most about this breed.

Every dachshund has their own little world.

Today, So and Ruu fill my days with laughter, surprises, and happiness.

And without even realizing it, my love for them began turning into something new.

How DACHSHUND CLUB Was Born

I spent nine years working in the fashion industry.

I’ve always loved clothing, styling, and expressing personality through fashion.

Over time, two of the things I loved most naturally came together:

Fashion and dachshunds.

That’s how DACHSHUND CLUB began.

Inspired by So and Ruu, I started creating apparel that celebrates dachshunds in different ways.

Some designs capture their everyday charm.

Others are a little more playful.

Our SUNGLASSES RUU collection features Ruu rocking a pair of red sunglasses.

And then there’s KIMONO DOG — a collection inspired by my grandmother’s beautiful Japanese kimonos.

Dachshunds wearing traditional Japanese clothing might be a little unexpected.

But that’s exactly what makes designing them so much fun!

I wanted to create something that brings together the things I love: dachshunds, fashion, and Japanese culture.

Something playful, personal, and enjoyable for adult dachshund lovers to wear.

Sending Dachshund Love from Japan to the World

Recently, I came across a wonderful dachshund community in the United States.

Seeing so many people sharing their love for dachshunds made me smile.

And I suddenly felt like reaching out.

Just to say hello from Japan.

To share a little dachshund love.

And perhaps introduce something they hadn’t seen before — like a dachshund dressed in a Japanese kimono!

We may live in different countries and speak different languages.

But I believe the love we feel for our dogs is something we can all understand.

If one of my designs makes another dachshund lover smile, that alone means a lot to me.

So, Why Do I Love Dachshunds So Much?

After all these years, I think I finally know the answer.

Because a dachshund named Max gave me more love than I could ever have imagined.

He was there when I was a little girl.

He stayed beside me through difficult days and happy ones.

He watched me grow into an adult.

And he taught me lessons that have stayed with me ever since.

Now, So and Ruu are filling a new chapter of my life with their own kind of joy.

Sometimes I think about that little clay sculpture I made of Max as a child.

Back then, I created something simply because I loved him.

And today, I’m still doing something very similar.

Only now, that love has found its way into clothing, artwork, and a little brand called DACHSHUND CLUB.

Maybe my creative journey started much earlier than I realized.

Thank you, Max. For growing up with me, for loving me, and for everything you taught me.

And to So and Ruu — let’s keep making beautiful memories together.

My love for dachshunds isn’t going anywhere.

It’s a love that has lasted a lifetime.

And one I hope to share with dachshund lovers around the world. ❤️
