We took So-chan and Ruu out for a drive.
So-chan absolutely loves cars.
A drive is one of her favorite things.
That means she somehow knows when a driving day is coming.
Even before we say anything.
Dogs always seem to notice when you are getting ready
The moment we start preparing bags or gathering things for the day, So-chan becomes restless.
She follows us everywhere.
Move to another room?
So-chan follows.
Pick up a bag?
She becomes even more excited.
It always makes us wonder how dogs notice these things so quickly.
By the time we are actually ready to leave, So-chan has already decided:
“We are going in the car today.”
And once she gets into the car, she looks completely satisfied.
For So-chan, the drive itself may be more exciting than the destination.
Our destination was a grassy seaside park
This time, we headed to a grassy park near the sea.
It is one of Ruu’s favorite places.
There is plenty of open grass, fresh air, and space to move around.
We often see other dogs there too, so it seems to be popular with many dog owners.
The moment Ruu arrives, she is ready to run.
Ruu runs with everything she has

Ruu does not believe in taking it easy.
She runs.
And runs.
And runs some more.
She looks incredibly happy racing across the grass.
Trying to keep up with her is another story.
The human at the end of the lead sometimes feels like falling over.
But watching Ruu enjoy herself that much makes the effort worth it.
So-chan prefers to relax

So-chan has a completely different idea of a perfect outing.
She already got what she wanted.
She got to ride in the car.
So when we reach the park, she does not usually run around like Ruu.
She walks slowly across the grass.
Sometimes she simply sits down.
Ruu is sprinting around at full speed.
So-chan is relaxing nearby like she has already completed the main event.
Their personalities could not be more different.
Food at the park is part of the fun
After some time outside, the dogs have their meal at the park.
There is something special about eating outdoors after a walk and playtime.
Ruu has spent her energy running.
So-chan has enjoyed a peaceful stroll.
Then everyone gets to relax before heading home.
The ride home is very quiet
The drive home is completely different from the drive out.
So-chan, who had been excited from the moment we started preparing, is now asleep.
Ruu, who ran as fast as she could across the park, is asleep too.
The car becomes wonderfully quiet.
Excitement on the way there.
Fun at the park.
Food outside.
Then deep sleep all the way home.
That is what a perfect drive looks like for our dogs.
Same outing, completely different ways to enjoy it
So-chan loves the car.
Ruu loves running through the grass at the seaside park.
They go to the same place together, but what they enjoy most is completely different.
That is one of the things we love about going out with them.
So-chan follows us around the house because she knows a drive is coming.
Ruu explodes with energy the moment she sees the grass.
And by the end of the day, both are sleeping peacefully in the car.
Just another simple day that becomes a favorite memory when you share it with dogs.
