Kimono Dog began with two things that are deeply important to alo: dachshunds and my grandmother’s kimono collection.
My grandmother collected beautiful Japanese kimono, including formal furisode with long flowing sleeves. Kimono Dog reimagines that beauty through illustrations of dachshunds dressed in furisode-inspired designs.
The goal is not simply to create another cute dog T-shirt. Each design offers a small and approachable doorway into Japanese culture.
